Heart of Texas Scholarship

Howard Payne University is demonstrating its commitment to local and area students through an exciting scholarship program! HPU’s Heart of Texas Scholarship offers $60,000 over four years to students from Brown County and surrounding counties.

Eligibility

HPU’s Heart of Texas Scholarship is available to students who:

• are graduates of high schools in the Heart of Texas area;
• meet unconditional admission requirements; and
• enroll full-time in the fall and spring semesters.

The scholarship benefit students who graduate high school from one of the following counties: Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, McCulloch, Mills and San Saba.

Students from the Heart of Texas area who meet unconditional admission requirements at the university and enroll full-time in the fall and spring semesters (12 or more hours each semester) will be awarded the Heart of Texas Scholarship: $15,000 ($7,500/semester) annual scholarship award ($60,000 over four years) to be funded through a variety of sources.
